We also want to take advantage of the opportunity to say goodbye to each person during the reception that will follow our morning worship service.

Pastor Russ and Shari,
I was a different person before coming to your church. I am now on the right path with God thanks to you both and the church. I just want to express my love for you both and I can't thank you enough for being there for me when I needed you. I am going to miss you both so much it is "indescribable". I hope to keep you in contact for many years to come. We are going to miss you but always love you and have you in mind and prayers. God Bless
Oh Pastor Russ that video was so nice. I know for a fact how much that church is going to miss you. Many MANY years ago when God moved you and Shari to a new place after leaving Kokomo I missed you. You will forever be in the hearts of the people at your church just like you will forever me in mine. Love you and pray God blesses you both OVER and BEYOND! Love you!
I have to agree 100% with Sarah. I am so thankful for having met you and Shari because I can now say with confidence that I am a saved Christian. I have you and Shari to thank as instruments of God's love and word, and the best examples of Chris-like friends. I will always keep you in my prayers and be eternally grateful for your guidance in my spiritual walk.
I agree with what these ladies have said. Not only have I grown but my family has as well. Me..my brother..sister and Step father were all baptised at Bethel. My step father came to know God at Bethel. Our family has grown so much and this church has meant so much to our family. I love Pastor Russ and Shari so much and thank God for not only blessing Bethel but my family with this great family of God. Pastor Russ is a tough act to follow and will be missed. Shari is my Momma Shari and I will miss her so much. I love you both bunches! You two are great examples of Godly people and I will look up to you both always. Love You

I wish somehow I could express to you how much you mean to me...how much Shari and your boys (all three) mean to me. You all hold a very large piece of my heart...and it's broken. I'm trying very hard to look ahead to what God has in store, but it hurts and somehow feels disloyal. I know it's not but it feels that way...
I know that whatever you endeavor to do, you will excel at. You walk uprightly and God will direct your steps. The Godly wisdom and love, and teaching, preaching and life changing was so concentrated in the short time our family had with you and your sweet family at Bethel. Words do not fully express the admiration and love that we have for you and your family. I've never known a Pastor that is so open and accessible. You've been such a blessing to our whole family. It doesn't seem long enough, but we are tearfully trusting God to see what he has in store for us.
This will be a tough, tough Sunday for us, ...but, we do know where you live! ;) We love you and pray for you, Shari, Calvin & Randall daily.
Having been a member of your youth group when you were in Kokomo, I know how hard it is to lose someone who has touched your life and shown God's love to you! I have tons of memories of the times I spent with you, Shari and the boys. You both are amazing people and I truly believe that God has wonderful things in store for you. As your congregation says goodbye tomorrow, I pray that God will be with all of you. Good luck in all that you guys do!
