Sunday Splash!

*How can I describe today? One word comes to mind.."exceptional"!!
*There were numerous first-time guests with us today!
*Momentum continues to build as we experience a surge of new growth!
*I am so grateful to everyone for stepping out and inviting their family and friends to visit us at Sunset Chapel!
*Another family indicated to us this morning that they were making SC their new church home! That always humbles me.
*My wife Shari and I were delighted to have visiting with us long- time family friend Bob Ball from Parkersburg, WV.
*He is passing through town on his way to Haiti to deliver much needed supplies to two orphanages serving over 300 children.
*I thought our worship team was amazing today as they came down from the platform and lead us in praise and worship!
*Today's message "God is...Healer" was an excellent reminder that our God is still able to heal!
*Although I shouldn't have been, I was somewhat astonished at the response during the altar time at the conclusion of my message.
*I felt very blessed to be surrounded by a wonderful ministry leadership team. I watched with a gladdened heart as they joined Shari and I around the altar to pray for the numerous people who came forward.
*I look forward to hearing several great reports of how God met needs in the coming days and weeks.
*School's in Miami are out this week. I hope everyone is able to enjoy some family time during the break. I am looking forward to relaxing a bit as well before gearing up for this coming Easter weekend.
*Have a blessed week!

Sunday Splash!

What a great day! Our worship team did a wonderful job setting the tone for today's service. They definitely brought their "A" game! It's so good to see people enjoying the presence of the Lord!

Let me also acknowledge our volunteers! Thanks for staying committed and serving so extremely well all our attendees here at Sunset Chapel. We just missed setting a new attendance record this morning! Their were so many newcomers today. It was unbelievable! You can sense the momentum building in our services!

Today's message resonated loud and clear. I think there were moments you could even hear a pin drop on the carpet. It was so quiet as people listened intently to the message. Today's message was probably one of the most challenging I've given at SC. I recognize as a pastor I am called to preach the truth in love and grace. Sometimes the messages are heavy, but they cannot be neglected. For full spiritual development to occur in the lives of people I am devoted to, it's imperative that I speak about the whole gospel.

Today four adults made decisions to accept Christ today! That was fantastic! I always trust that the Holy Spirit is working in hearts and changing people's lives!

Have a blessed week!

Sunday Splash!

*Our service today was totally awesome! There was an amazing sense of celebration and energy in our church!
*There was nothing monotonous about today's service. Today's song set was a lot of fun! Praise and worship isn't supposed to imprison people, it's supposed to emancipate them! I think the best songs are the ones that make people feel free and connected to God! Great job worship band! You all rock!
*The narrative is still building...Sunset Chapel is quickly becoming known for it's vibrancy and ministry!
*Today we officially welcomed to our ministry team Adam and Bethany Weatherly as our new Student Ministries Pastors. They are excited to be a part of Sunset Chapel and their looking forward to their first gathering with all our JR/SR High students this Wednesday at 7 PM.
*I know that I can't do ministry alone. They are a welcomed addition. And I am delighted that the Weatherly's have come to Miami to help us reach students who are far from God. I need every member of our ministry team more than ever before!
*I feel very blessed to be surrounded with some of the most gifted and godly leaders that believe in the vision of Sunset Chapel as much as I do!
*We also welcomed to SC today a personal friend and outstanding missionary, Jeff Dove! He thrilled us with the reports of what God was accomplishing in the five countries He represents! His vision for the lost is expansive! I hope many of our SC attenders will commit to pray for him as he continues to reach Southeast Asia!
*One of heavens greatest joy's will be all the lives that will be changed because of your faithfulness to give and invest in missions work around the world!
*During lunch it was exciting for me to share with Jeff what God has been doing right here in Miami!
*God has given me some incredible dreams for reaching our city and I believe that God will create some very much needed connections to accomplish these dreams for His kingdom!!
*I can't believe that Easter is only four weeks away!!
*I absolutely love the month of March! I am a big time NCAA basketball freak! And I can't wait to fill out my tourney brackets! Not sure who I will be picking to win it all. But I will definitely enjoy watching as many games as I can!
*I love March also for the four weekends of opportunity to connect people with God. A new month allows us to reset and redouble our efforts for Him!
*Next Sunday we start a new teaching series called "God is.."
*Don't miss a single week during this series as we look at who God is and how he can upgrade your life!
*I am believing that many lives will be changed during this series!
*Sunset Chapel...I really love you guys! To all who call SC your church home, thank you for taking this journey called life and ministry with me. I can't believe that I get to do what I do...and I really do feel like the best is yet to come!

Join us for an explosive first Wednesday in March! The true power of Sunset Chapel is found in our focus on prayer. Each Prayer Service begins with a meaningful worship experience and then SC attenders pray for the needs of the church and those who attend. Believing that we are living in a remarkable time. We are seeing God move in unprecedented ways, stirring our hearts to believe that greater things are ahead of us than behind. With that in mind the result of our time spent in prayer allows each participant to seek out the best ways to live out their faith in an ever- changing world.

Iron Men's Meeting 7:00PM

Yep, it's that time again! We are making preparations for tonight's "Iron Men's Ministry" meeting tonight at 7:00 pm. I hope to see you there and we will talk about the future of this ministry and making some pretty cool changes and additions.

Gathering apart from our Sunday experience is one of the main ways we become linked together as men of faith. Come get connected! Join us as we study God's Word together in a small enough environment to discuss the issues and challenges of life. Tonight's topic is "Living a Christ-like Life".
