Market Place Luncheon Highlights!!

This is what it looks like when a church interacts with leading business leaders and influencers from the city of Miami!! The church was teaming with excitement and buzz as leaders from across our community assembled in our facility to network and receive an invitation to sharpen their leadership skills and expand their levels of influence. There were lots of new faces in our building today......I was privileged to meet some awesome new folks!

Our Sunset Chapel Volunteers are the absolute best! I am so PROUD of our staff and volunteers who really made this event/outreach so successful. I just loved the way our people stepped up to the challenge and were so generous with their time and efforts. I've already received an email thanking us for providing this opportunity. I love it!

Friends I believe we are about to see God do something in our church unlike we have ever seen before. I am really pumped up about the future of our church.

Sunday Splash!

* Again we had a great day Sunset Chapel.
* Worship was good today...it's always different and it offered each of us a power moment with God.
* We are so blessed to have Doug Flores available to us. The entire worship team did another awesome job this morning!
* Today proved once again that people believe in what we're doing here at SC!
* We had another great crowd and we had several new faces!
* Hopefully you sense that God is doing something incredibly unique here at Sunset Chapel.
* Miami is a city full of people that don't go to church on Sunday and who are waiting for an invite to a church that will add to their lives!
* Our best advertising right now is word of mouth. Sunset Chapel folks...keep on praying, keep on inviting, keep on talking it up!
* I will be hitting the ground running tomorrow. It's a big week ahead with our Market Place Outreach on Tuesday!
* It's going to be an AMAZING opportunity to rub elbows with leaders in the business sector of our city!
* I can't wait to describe for them this spectacular church and the wonderful people who attend and are involved here!
* An outreach like this is impossible to pull off without the committed and sacrificial work of our volunteers!
* Our volunteers at SC are the best and watching them in action inspires me. They are AWESOME!!!

* I want to urge everyone to take a few extra minutes to contemplate on today's message and allow it to inspire you to accomplish something extraordinary this week for God!

* Here are some highlights from today at Sunset Chapel!
* Hats off to our worship team for pulling off an AMAZING worship experience for our people today!
* They succeeded in creating an environment free from distraction's that enabled everyone to stay focused on Christ!
* We saw FIVE decisions for Christ and many other life change moments take place in our service this morning.
* I just love watching how God changes lives!
* Our goal each week is to help those who are far from God discover the pathway to change!
* Once again we had another great crowd (just missed setting a new attendance record) and we had several new faces.
* It was wonderful observing people personally interacting together during friendship time today. At SC the opportunity to re-connect with friends and make new ones is occurring every week!
* Let me encourage everyone to soak in all that God is doing! Then take it and apply it into your daily life.
* Let's each one become a "container that God can use" 2 Timothy 2:21 Message Bible!
* The momentum at SC is building! Every week I am coming onto our church campus expecting God to show up and do something huge!
* I'm praying hard for our upcoming Community Market Place Outreach scheduled for July 21...some big things are about to happen that will set us up to reach more people for Christ in the future!
* I am extremely grateful for the many additional volunteers who took the time to sign up this morning to help make this a successful outreach into the community!
* I also want to thank those who have also invested into this outreach by contributing financially towards it's success.
* God is using each one of us in incredible ways, your love for the Lord, your love for people and your willingness to get involved and make a difference with your life exalts Christ and makes His name great!
* You are all an encouragement and inspiration to so many!
* I feel so blessed to be so surrounded by such high caliber men and women. You are all phenomenal!!!!

Market Place Luncheon July 21 11:00am-12:30pm

After much prayer, some phone calls, valuable coordination and a healthy dose of God's favor, Sunset Chapel is excited to announce our upcoming Business Leaders Luncheon. This event is for Miami area Business Leaders and their workers to come meet the new lead pastor at Sunset Chapel (me) and to connect with other business leaders in our community. The agenda: How Sunset Chapel can do a better job of creating a bridge to our community and serve people in the marketplace.

Realizing that there exists a huge disconnect between the marketplace and the church.That most churches don't know how to relate to business leaders, and knowing we haven't helped them become better or live out their God-given potential. This event is designed to be a first-step in enabling us to bridge that gap.

God needs great people in the marketplace to help transform the world. I believe it is the church's responsibility to help develop marketplace leaders into their God-given potential.

I also believe that investing in leadership development has the highest exponential return in terms of changing communities for good. With that in mind each individual in attendance will receive a free complimentary book "Make Today Count" by John Maxwell (New York Times Best Selling Author).

I trust that it will become a beneficial resource as you lead where you are. I am very excited and looking forward to the upcoming opportunity of rubbing elbows with some AMAZING leaders in our community! This event will present everyone with a stellar opportunity to network together over an outstanding luncheon meal.

We're Hiring!

As God continues to do some incredible things here at Sunset Chapel, we believe that He is positioning us to reach more people!

Currently we are accepting resumes and references for our open Worship Pastor position. The person we are looking for must be able to lead worship from the keyboard, chart and read music extremely well. They will plan the worship team calendar, add new songs consistently, schedule weekly rehearsals, and provide oversight to the tech team. This individual must possess tremendous people skills and be able to work well with current musicians and vocalists that are serving in this ministry. This person will also serve on a creative team to assist SC in moving continously forward and helping people to be engaged more in the weekend services.

Because there is a HUGE Hispanic and Caribbean influence in this area we desire to keep that flavor in our weekend services. We also want this person to be able to blend in well with our 3C vision of being casual, contemporary and Christ-centered. * As we begin our second month of ministry here at SC, I look back at an AMAZING first month of ministry!

* It was so uplifting today as I watched the smiling faces of people greeting each other in the sanctuary.

* I am really excited about our upcoming "Marketplace Outreach" coming up July 21st!!!
* I am thanking God for those who already signed up to assist with this project.
* I am proud of you all for stepping up to the plate!

* I am looking forward to getting acquainted with and having lunch with 100 of our area's marketplace leader's.
* It will be an excellent opportunity to introduce SC and our Sunset Christian Academy to them.
* As a church we are taking a bold step forward in establishing a bridge into our community.
