It's All About Prayer!

Today we begin a 30 day journey as a church to seek a closer connection with God through Prayer and Fasting! I am so very excited about all that is going to transpire during this month long emphasis. I am grateful to Luis,Linda,Janet and Heather who have committed to pray with me today for the church, our ministries and the needs of our church people! We cannot risk underestimating the power of prayer!

Evangelist's and close friends of mine, Rudi and Sharon Swanepoel from South Africa have stated the following: "Prayer is much more than words we speak. When we speak of our position in prayer we do not refer to kneeling, standing or even closing our eyes when we pray. These are secondary. Our position in prayer speaks primarily of a spiritual posture before the presence of God. A spiritual place of power and intimacy.

"The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the (consistently) righteous man (upright and in right standing with God) runs to it and is safe, high (above evil) and strong." Proverbs 18:10 AMP

As children of God, we have been repositioned to receive all that Heaven has. Success is within our reach. Blessings at our fingertips. Life on our lips. Grace in our hearts and power in our hands. We've been transformed from miserable failures to glorious success stories at the hand of God. The name of the Lord is a fortress to those in right standing with Him. We run into it and revel in the safety it brings".

If you haven't yet taken the opportunity to sign up for a specific day or multiple days you can still do that this Wednesday or this coming Sunday! We have also opened up our sanctuary Monday-Friday from 7 am - 9 pm for anyone who would like to come and take advantage of a quiet place to pray! We are in the process of finalizing a date to also organize a Saturday "Prayer Walk" that you and your entire family and friends can participate in! More details about this will be announced this coming Sunday!

Finally let me encourage everyone to join us Wednesday as we change our mid- week format to include an Adult Prayer Service in the sanctuary! Our children and youth ministries will continue to meet in their respective areas.

If you have any prayer needs that you would like for us to include in our prayer service please contact the church office at 305.271.4094 or by email at sunsetchapel.com

I am praying for you today!!
